Chairman Message

Welcome to the Breast Cancer Foundation.

Years ago, my late mother-in-law, Tun Endon Mahmood, and I, attended the London Breast Cancer Care fashion show where the models were the breast cancer survivors. We were both so inspired by the event and so we came home and set up a special purpose committee comprising of volunteers.

Together, we organised a Walk with Pride charity gala dinner on 31 July 2005, where breast cancer survivors took to the runway, making a powerful statement that there is life after breast cancer. The event was very successful, and later in 2006, we officially incorporated as Pride Foundation.

As the team grew, we were able to run many programmes both as a tribute to the courage, resilience and strength of Tun Endon Mahmood, and of course to all those who experienced breast cancer.

In 2017 and after 12 years of tireless work, we decided to rename ourselves to the Breast Cancer Foundation. We did this to better reflect the work that we have done and that we continue to do.

As we begin this new chapter, we will continue to create awareness around breast cancer and empower and support those people affected by it.
